Thinking of Spring

Well, I've had a hard time getting ready for spring-I think I'd like to hibernate for a couple more months. I just haven't felt much in the mood for doing anything. I'm sorry I haven't been around visiting -it's a chore to just post every day. I'm hoping that this will pass and I can get back to my energetic self(anyone that knows me thinks I go go go!). I just haven't cared about anything lately-maybe I'm changing. Part of this may be due to visiting my grandma in the nursing home-my priorities are changing-which is good! With the help of my BF Tete-I will work through this. Thanks for hanging in there with me-I want to catch up with everyone and get inspired again!

I bought these wonderful glasses a couple of months ago(one of my largest collections are floral glasses(and I've even sold a ton of them!)! A little spring flowers makes me smile!

  4. How VERY lovely, like a set from a glamorous party in a movie!

I've spent an unaccustomed afternoon in Michael's, JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby, in pursuit of pink silk roses and the palest of blush candles---some of the pictures today just made me want to surround myself with the shades of "blush" and "bashful."

    Happy Pink Saturday!

  5. I know just what your going through, take the time to rest, it will pass. When you come out the other side you will be renewed. Don't push it, do something completely different but not trying. I spent a whole summer reading garden books and sitting on my porch swing, I call it my desert time (like the time the Israelites spent in the desert). When the time came I was renewed, just this last year, I spent all winter playing the games on facebook, not doing much else (except caring for my family), and when I had rested enough, my creativity came back in full force. So, just take this time to rest your mind and your body, God has a reason for this rest, He will bring back your creativity when it is time.
Love your glasses, they remind me of some that belonged to may grandmother.

  6. Happy Pink Saturday Rebecca Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful share from the heart today. I think this weather we have had of late, has put all of us in a rut of sorts. I have felt it too.

Keep on finding a little piece of happiness in that nursing home Rebecca. Your precious Grandma and the others there, they need you. You can take this sadness and turn it around by spending a little time with them. I was thinking about you this week, and seeing in my mind, those beautiful pink painted nails of your Grandmothers. Yes, I think you should set up a table and do as many nails as you can to make all of the little ladies happy. Bring in bottles of colored polish and do the nails for any that want a little color in their lives. They would be smiling and comparing. Oh I so wish I lived close and could join in on the party. Maybe Tete could come along and paint some nails as well. You should ask the folks at the nursing home and see if it would be okay. Rebecca, I would gladly send you some bottles of polish to work with too. Let me know.

I almost forgot, I love those glasses, they are so beautiful. I love the pink and black combination. It is just gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.

Please email me and keep me posted on this project. We talked about things you could do, and seeing the happiness on your Grandma's face and seeing the others in the background, I keep thinking this is what you could do. You will have them all chattering up a storm.

Many hugs to you sweet friend and SO much love, Sherry
