Children In Church Jokes

Children in Church A little boy was in a relative's wedding. As he was coming down the aisle, he would take two steps, stop, and turn to the crowd. While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws and roar. So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR, all the way down the aisle. As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from laughing so hard by the time he reached the pulpit. When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said, "I was being the Ring Bear." One Sunday in a Midwest City, a young child was "acting up" during the morning worship hour. The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew but were losing the battle. Finally, the father picked the little fellow up and walked sternly up the aisle on his way out. Just before reaching the safety of the foyer, the little one called loudly to the congregation, "Pray for me! Pray for me!" One particular four-year old prayed, "And forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets." A little boy was overheard praying: "Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it. I'm having a real good time like I am." A Sunday School teacher asked her little children, as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?" One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping." A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination, looking at the old pages as he turned them. Then something fell out of the Bible. He picked it up and looked at it closely. It was an old leaf from a tree that has been pressed in between the pages. "Mama, look what I found," the boy called out.. "What have you got there, dear?" his mother asked. With astonishment in the young boy's voice he answered, "It's Adam's suit". The preacher was wired for sound with a lapel mike, and as he preached, he moved briskly about the platform, jerking the mike cord as he went. Then he moved to one side, getting wound up in the cord and nearly tripping before jerking it again. After several circles and jerks, a little girl in the third pew leaned toward her mother and whispered, "If he gets loose, will he hurt us?" Six-year old Angie, and her four-year old brother, Joel, were sitting together in church. Joel giggled, sang and talked out loud. Finally, his big sister had had enough. "You're not supposed to talk out loud in church." "Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked. Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men standing by the door? They're hushers." My grandson was visiting one day when he asked , "Grandma, do you know how you and God are alike?" I mentally polished my halo, while I asked, "No, how are we alike?" "You're both old," he replied. A ten-year old, under the tutelage of her grandmother, was becoming quite knowledgeable about the Bible. Then, one day, she floored her grandmother by asking, "Which Virgin was the mother of Jesus? The virgin Mary or the King James Virgin ?" A Sunday school class was studying the Ten Commandments. They were ready to discuss the last one. The teacher asked if anyone could tell her what it was. Susie raised her hand, stood tall, and quoted, "Thou shall not take the covers off the neighbor's wife." Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.(Proverbs 22:6 ESV) Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him.(Proverbs 22:15 ESV)

Lady Figurine

Last Saturday after the Memorial service for Auntie Margaret(my husband's great Aunt) we were able to choose several things-and each niece/nephew choose one figure. Auntie Margaret's husband bought one of these for her for several years. We were told they were valuable-I just choose the one that goes best in our home-a Victorian lady!

Pink Paisley Tray

A lady gave this tray to my Mom to give to me a couple of days ago because she had seen my pink camper while at the campground. My Mom didn't even know her name-such thoughtfulness from a stranger. It will be great to serve food or drinks on. I don't know if it's very old-but it has a pretty paisley pattern.

A Tisket, A Tasket, A Pink & White Basket

The story about this pink basket :

I stopped by my friend Tete's house last nite before church because I was telling her how awful of a headache I had yesterday. Now I don't get sick or get headaches(like I've not missed a day of work in 14 years, didn't miss one day of school-I'm just lucky I guess). This one was so bad-I thought-maybe I need to go to the hospital(by the way-I don't like hospitals or doctors). This headache felt almost as bad as the kidney stone I had 17 years ago(if you've had a kidney stone-you'd understand). I threw up a couple of times and felt like my head would explode. No other symptoms. She told me to come on by-she wanted to look at my neck. She did this pop thing on it and it gave me some relief(I've never been to the chiropractor-but she thinks I should to get adjusted).
Anyway, as I was leaving-she handed me this cute little basket and then told me that Craig (her 25 year old Son) had picked it out for me and that I should give him a kiss. I think he was a little nervous-unsure what I would do or where I would kiss him-so I walked over(he was sitting on the floor), pushed back his bangs and planted one right on his forehead.
Didn't think much about it until I called Tete back after church-and she precedes to tell me that the guys(her husband and son) were arguing about who bought me the cute pink basket. Steve(her husband) apparently picked it out, but Craig ended up buying it.
So.....................looks like Steve's got a BIG KISS coming-He better watch out cause when he least expects it-I'm gonna grab him and plant one on!
(BTW-Tete's in on this one!)

St. Patrick's Day Bow

A co-worker left me this green bow to take to the nursing home to get a picture with my Grams. I decided to forgo the green hair since I wouldn't get to see her until this evening and then she'd be going to bed and no-one would see her-so we've decided on yellow or lavender hair for Easter!

Pink Coats

Do you remember this coat I was looking for several months ago? I'm so excited-I found it on ebay-brand new!!! A girl at work had one just like it and I fell in love with it and have been searching for it ever since. I told her I had finally found one and she said I got it cheaper than what she paid for it-and just in time for spring!!!! Then I spotted this little beauty on Friday nite and went to order it -and it wouldn't process. After several attempts-it showed it was no longer available. I was so disappointed. By the next evening-a confirmation had showed up that the order had went thru-so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will get that one in the mail too!
A girl can never have to many pink coats-right-I only have 5 pink winter ones-on to looking for spring ones!

Miss Kitty

My Miss Kitty is at least 18 years old and I have been having to face that it is getting closer to her time. I've been having a really hard time with this since she is my very first pet I've ever had and her personality is like no other cat I've seen(she's me in cat form!) I'm trying to love on her as much as I can every day and feed her the wet food she loves.
I've never seen another angora cat like her-her hairs not perfect anymore-but she's still got it going on-just like I want to when I'm old!
