I know I've gone a little mad(crazy) when I am seeing pink containers of sugar in friend's cabinets, but I couldn't resist-what a pretty shade of pink! I did go antiquing with a friend today and found a few new pink goodies-so I'll be back to share those this week!
I few weeks ago I saw some free pink plastic tiles on craigslist, the problem being they were several hours away. Even though I was headed in that direction, the lady shipped them to me. There wasn't a lot, but I was thrilled to get them. These might come in handy for a project down the road!
Went to my parents at lunch today and my youngest niece was there-what a stinker! She is into hiding. She hid under the bed, then behind the couch and after playing with my Ipad(she's amazing on this for 3 years old!)-she then hid my keys from me. I did get her to give me a cheezy smile-she was all giggles today-what a little cutie!
When I was antiquing last Wednesday I found this pink pyrex casserole dish for only $3.00(no lid), but not before I had seen it at two antique malls-one was priced at $24.00 and the other at $19.95. I was so excited to get it for only $3.00. I'm trying to grow my pink pyrex collection a little, but not break the bank so to speak! Yeah...more vintage pink!
I keep pictures of things that I'm looking for on my Ipad and when I go antiquing I take it along. A week ago I was junkin and found something that was on my wish list....Pink cake toppers. They were the exact ones I had a picture of on my Ipad...I got them for $5.00. Can you see the Santa in the sleigh with reindeer? I only got one of him, but that will do!
I picked this up for a friend I'm going to Terre Haute with today. I've actually put together a whole bag full of things she can pamper herself with. I guess these socks smell like vanilla cupcakes(isn't that weird?), anyway I thought these might be comfy(and yes-I can give away pink things for those of you that think I hoard all pink items!). Tete-I've got a few more items to put in your Valentine's bag-so it will be the end of the week!!!
This past weekend I went to a new store that I had never heard of -Tuesday Mornings. I guess it's an overstock of other stores old merchandise. I saw some pretty neat stuff-but only bought this pink bling domino set. Can't wait to play it with the kids! I'm joining White Wednesday at http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/
I was sitting in the parking lot next to this hotel and my eyes couldn't help but spot this super long limo. There were two of them-but of course-I had to take a picture of the pink one! I'd love to rent that and go out on the town with all my friends! Who wants to go???
Have you ever seen these in pink? There was only one box at a salvage store-and I had to have them! More crazy pink things that I have to have! Hope you had a great weekend-I did. I'll be back this week to show you what I found!
I saw these on a tree at JC Penney this year and wanted to buy them, but they were so expensive. I picked up the very last one for only $2.00. It needs a little gluing and the cherry need put back on the top, but I couldn't resist and needed just one of these little cuties! And I love the little hint of pink!
This is what I really, really want....but is too far away to go and pick up and too costly to have shipped.... And this is what I found last week while junkin.....for only $2.00!!! I was so excited when I found it...all in the same week that I have wanted the entire set. I grabbed it right away and took it up to the counter ........
And then I discovered the real excitement...... Can you see it?...... It has stickers all over it with my name on it!!!!!! It was meant to be....
And when I looked closer....the name Becky(which is what my family still calls me from when I was little) was written in marker in the opening!
Had to use my new pink Ice Scraper today-love the winter weather (sorry Tete-I know you're ready for spring and posting all those pictures of flowers). I love having snow in the winter. It's so pretty and makes me glad I live in this crazy Illinois weather where the temperature was 50 degrees yesterday! Stay warm!
Can you see all the different ones? You may need to click on the picture to enlarge it. Pepsi, Sprite, Tab(Tab's my favorite one-two reasons-it's pink-and I had a crush on a boy when I was in my early teens named Tab(his intials were TAB also). I used to sing that jingle that went along with the pop-something like-Tab's got Sass-I can't remember(maybe my BF Tete can?). Anyway-I do remember those initials on the inside and collecting them to win some sort of prize. Picked these up at a garage sale last summer and thought I might be able to do some sort of craft project with them. Any ideas? I still can't believe I found this pink roadside emergency kit in pink. It was in the very far back of a little junk/convenience store in a very small town and there was only one(it was waiting for a pink lover!) Can you see the price .....$ 6.39-can you believe that!
The little bag is cute too!! Do you see the white gloves they put in the kit? How could they! The kit needs pink gloves! But remember the gloves I bought from the Dollar Tree the other day? They match perfectly! Just wish the jumper cables were pink-but if they work-that's all that matters! And did you see that the tools all have pink handles-even the electrical tape and ice scraper are pink!
Well my BF Tete from Beyond the Garden Gate inspired me to look at the Dollar Tree for some goodies-so I had to pick up these pink things. I think the lolipop Foot pumice is so fun! And the pink gloves will go with something I got a few weeks ago that I'll show you this week!
Remember those wonderful glasses that Paulette from http://cheerfulthriftydoor.blogspot.com/ sent me in the mail? I had a glass carrier that I found a few months ago for only $ .25 and painted it pink. They fit perfectly in there!
This is what it looked like before I painted it-what a yucky color! I just love them together! Shows off my fun vintage glasses!
I don't know about you-but I didn't find much fun stuff before, let alone, after Christmas. I did pick up this cute little pink tree for $5.00. It sits on a cute little pink box-that's why I had to have it(you probably already guessed-I have a couple of other ones!) What goodies did you find at the after Christmas sales?
I couldn't quite take everything down in my office-so I put up my ice covered tree and covered it with pink snowflake ornaments and teal snowflake garland. Perfect for this time of the year as we got a little snow yesterday-not enough to stick, but I loved it anyway(sorry Tete-I know you want spring-but I'm enjoying my time relaxing in front of the fireplace! Hope you all have a great week!
