Happy Pink Halloween-What are YOU Dressing up As?

This year since I went with the witch theme while camping-I decided to be a pink- haired witch along with my little dog Maggie Or Maggie Mae as I like to call her. She was a pink and black witch with blonde hair just like her mama! Here she is -her costume has spider webs and a skull and a pink corset!
Her is our middle dog, Petie-he is a little Devil-and sometimes he is. I like to call him Dr. Jeckly and Mr. Hide, but sometimes I call him Meanie Petie or Sweetie Petie depending on the mood he's in!

Then last of all is our oldest and biggest dog, Buddy. He's the first dog I've ever had and he's a really good boy. I dressed him up like Batman with a cape!
All our dogs are rescues and I totally believe in that-saving a life is one of the most rewarding things a person can do!!!

More Pink Halloween Items

Well, I had to make yet another trip to Target-I just couldn't stand the thought of wishing I had purchased these items next year-and they probably won't have them again. My Pink Halloween camping trip was a hit and I'm going to try and make it bigger and better-can't wait till next year! I nabbed two pink wigs for the kids for only $1.25 each and the glittery stuff is a must. I already had painted some tombstones, but wanted something heavier that won't blow away(I may have to look for some that I can paint after Halloween-on sale!)

Angry Alice

This is a doll from Zombie Babies-they've got all kinds of weird and horrible halloween dolls, but this one will be my next halloween purchase. She's different then the others -she's got a pink dress and blonde hair. It's an animated doll-and I know-you're thinking-why does she want that. I like all my halloween decorations(at our home-not the camper) to be life-like and kinda old-fashioned and historic and of course-spooky or scary-and she fits in. She will probably going in my white baby carriage next year and I have an older black carriage that will get the skeleton child.
Happy Halloween and Pink Saturday to you all!

Pink Skeleton

I bought a couple of these skeletons last year at a garage sale for $1.00. They were in pieces. I decided to paint one pink and used sticks to put the pieces back together -I think he turned out pretty cute and he was a hit when I went camping~

Pink Ghosts

One of the first things I did when I went out camping last time was to blow up some balloons and have my sisters three kids draw faces on them-then I covered them with some pink sheer fabric-and there's my three little ghosties!

Pink Devil

Normally I would never even look at a devil costume(that's because I know there is a real devil and I don't want anything to do with him!), but what can a pink lovin girl say about this one-we all are a little devilish aren't we?

A Play and a Magic Show

I started a tradition that my sister's twins and my brother in law's neice and also one of my good friends daughters come up with a play for the family that they do on Saturday nite. I bring the props and costumes-and they come up with the ideas with a little help from me. These kids really have some great ideas for plays with great moral ideas. I'm very proud of them! We started off with a circus theme because I had costumes that would only fit each of them this year(they grow so fast~!). They each let me apply stage make-up and we let the family know. The great thing this year was -we had a lot of other campers come-the kids were so excited about it. I strung a clothesline with pink striped sheets across a volleyball net and they had their curtain to dress and put their props behind. The circus clowns have come to town-Little Maggie Mae did some tricks for treats-jumping thru a boa covered hoop, jumping over a baton, and doing a little twirl-she's not very good at it, but she looked so good in her clown costume-along with all the other clowns!~

The Girls Play-Rich Ladies fighting over a little Fairy they found~and the fairy told them to get along!

Our little magicians-they all had a great little magic trick! The end of the show-always over too soon for all their hard work!

At the end we all dressed up like witches(and a vampire!) and walked the campground -even little Maggie had her witch's costume on(I'll post a better picture of her next week)!

If you're ever out camping -your kids are welcome to join in ( I heard one lady tell me the next day that her grand-daughter went back to their campsite doing a puppet show and trying some magic tricks!) or come and have fun watching!

Great Job kids-you make camping even more Fun-wish you didn't have to grow up-then again-I haven't!

Ding Dong the Witch is Dead

Well this is where the Bad Witch of Ashmore ended up - no really she goes along with my decorations for the Wizard of Oz Halloween from last weekend camping trip. You should have seen the people passing by and then coming back, many to take pictures or comment. It was a fun weekend with family and friends. I'll be posting some more pictures this weekend from last weekend camping-so come on back later.

Pink Light Up Skull

It's been difficult to find pink Halloween items-so I'm continuing to come up with some of my own. Bought this white(last photo) light up skull at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago for only $.25. I had intended to just replace the light bulb to a pink one, but when I opened it up it was those itty bitty bulbs(I don't think they're made in pink). So I just got my spray paint out and pink it is. Lite up
Just pink

It still had the tags on it, but missing one eye.

Pink Wizard of Oz

Since I went camping this weekend, I decided to go all out pink halloween and choose a Wizard of Oz theme(which I'll show you more at the end of the week!). I set up my pink broom, my pink bike, a black cat with a pink bow(by the broom) and a witch's cape and witch's hat with pink hair sinking into the ground. The little sign says "Witch's live here-watch out". I had a wonderful weekend with family-but I'm so worn out! Hope you all enjoyed the wonderful weather!

Pink Witch's Broom

I've been working on several pink halloween items to take camping this weekend-this is one of them. I've kind of got a witch them going and got this old broom-nothing fancy, but decided to paint it pink and them add some black(flying too much I guess) to the bottom. Found some ribbon with spiders and spider webs and it's no longer just a plain broom-It's my new ride!

Pink Tombstones

I saw that Target had some pink tombstones in their ad for $10.00-another pink halloween item, but I live an hour from a Target store- I could have them shipped, but then I remembered that I have several of these styrofoam tombstones already. I don't use them in my yard because they blow away and I've almost gotten rid of them several times. Glad I didn't! I can use them when I go camping for my pink Hallween. Went out and bought some pink florescent paint-still need to do some coloring in for details with black paint or marker, but they'll do nicely~!

Pink Halloween

Do you know how difficult it is for a pink-aholic to find pink Halloween items. I really hadn't thought of it until I walked into the Salvation army one day and there were these pink candy collecting pumpkins. Then it all started-the hunt for pink halloween-just to take camping with me. It's been really difficult-not that I don't like a challenge or a hunt because I do(ask my best friend, Tete!)-but there's not a lot out there except for costumes. So I'm open to ideas for decorating at the campground. I ended up with 3 of these buckets and put candles in them and also found this cute Boo curtain for only $2 at the Salvation Army. I figured some black and white will work good too and this was too cute to pass up. Then after searching the web, ebay, etsy and various stores-I decided to come up with some things on my own. I painted a plug in pumpkin that I had that was a yellowish green pink and added this pink haired witch hat. The spider lights up with pink lights! I've got a few other ideas up my sleeve so check back in the next month-I'm going to try and post pink Halloween items each Saturday this month! Happy Pink Halloween!
