Free Pink Sink and Toilet

I was talking to a lady that I worked with in December that had a friend that had a pink bathtub that she hated and she was going to buy her a show curtain to cover it up. I said-she's got a pink bathtub!!!!! Then she told me that she had taken out a pink toilet and sink........ I got soooooo excited.... did she still have them. She gave me the ladies number and I tried calling her for almost two month-no answering machine, no call back... I had almost given up and then decided to call back the lady that I had worked with. Still no call from the lady with the pink bathroom for almost two weeks. Then last Friday she called and she had them by her back step and I could have them for FREE! So I took the pink sink that day and will have to go back for the toilet because it was stuck to the porch. I know the faucet is not that cool-but it can be changed! Not sure if this is from the 50's or not-but hey-it's pink and free! You ask what am I going to do with it.... I don't know.. it doesn't go with my house... but who can turn down a free pink toilet and pink sink. She's keeping the tub and repainting it!

  4. The sink looks like a bird bath waiting to happen! How cool would it be to run a hose or something to it, so you could turn on the tap to fill it, and use the drain to drain and clean it...

  7. Hi Rebecca,

They would fit perfectly into a whimsical gardening area. I used to have a vintage white pedestal sink with the old fashioned faucets. I always kept it planted with some kind of herbs. I had more compliments on that than anything else in my garden. :0) I also had an old iron bed frame set up and planted with flowers. If you have a garden shed you could hook up the sink against one of the outside walls...that's great to have to wash fresh herbs and veggies or for general clean up.

I saw your comment for Rednesday about not having a dishwasher. I don't either..When I moved my kitchen I removed the dishwasher.

  9. My house came with a pink sink in the kitchen and a pink toilet and bathtub. The pink wasn't pretty and the bathtub had to be torn apart to fix a leak since my house was built on a concrete slab. My pink kitchen sink is still on the side of my house but it's hideously ugly. It took 13 years to replace it. My realtor said of course you want to change this. I knew sinks can be replaced easier than good schools.

My house was built in 1960.
