Figuring out a Pink Tent

I bought some pink tent posts at a thrift shop for only $1.00. There was no fabric and no instructions on how to put it together. I thought it would be another fun adventure(like a puzzle) to put it together. My oldest niece and I started to put it together and thought we had it figured out-but we kept coming out short. My brother in law came to the rescue(he's great at figuring things out). So this is what we came up with. I pulled out all my extra sheets I had and added walls and a door (see the red and pink curtain door) and the rug at the entrance!We put the little tent up against the other side.

Candy Necklaces

It all starts with the beads and a candy heart! The littlest one needed her mother's help-but she picked out which bead came next! The oldest one had a plan of her own.

Yummy Pink Iced Cookie Bars

I made two pans of cookie bars(along with several other items) to take camping this past weekend. I didn't ice them beforehand because I thought the twins would want to do that and that my littlest niece would want to put on the sprinkles.

A Pink Chaise

I picked up this little chaise at a garage sale for only $1.00 for my littliest niece. I think the older one was disappointed because it was too little for her(she kept sitting in it!). I set it all up with a little umbrella so when she arrived it was all ready for her.

Making the Pink Poodle

A few weeks ago I did a post on an old craft project that I got at a garage sale for only $ .25. Well, today's craft projects are probably made a little easier and better. I had to call over my mom to help with this one. I thought it would be something fun for the kids to help with while we were camping. My oldest niece helping with the project. We had to wrap newspaper around clothes hangers for the legs(not the sturdiest) and then wrap pink plastic around that! Here are the instructions. Here's the materials to make it. Here's how it turned out-not quite like a pink poodle!

Oh well-sometimes things don't turn out like we want them too!

Redone Child's Pink Fridge

Here's a little fridge that I picked up for only $5.00, but wait till you see what it looked like beforehand. It stands up to my waist. I thought it would look good in a kitchen for a pantry but as you can see from yesterday's pics on the Ella Maes Blog-it wouldn't match with our kitchen. So I'll have to put it with my other pink child's toys in our smokehouse for when the kids come over to play. What a yucky green-but I saw potential! Here's the inside

Giving Maggie Mae a Bath

While camping this weekend my Mom comments that Little Miss Maggie Mae smells like a dog. Well we can't have that-so Miss Maggie Mae got a very cold bath at the campground. And now she smells like strawberries and cream!

1950"s Leaf Dish???

I've really been getting into some retro pink items. I think that's when most of it was popular. I was able to pick up this leaf dish for half price at only $2.00. Playing Baseball

This is my niece getting ready to play ball! Isn't she beautiful! Nine years old and growing up fast! She loves to act silly. She knows I love pink so she had to show me her pink Gatorade.

Then some other girls had to get into the act! Her twin brother is in the red-he doesn't play until Monday-in the tournament!

Here she is with a pink bat-she's also got pink on her gloves and on her shoes, and you may see a pink hard hat in the background. She's always making funny faces-must be the age! Her little sister is on the right hand side. She likes to sneak in the dugout and I've been told that she's been kissing on the little boy on the left. She's on only 2 1/2 but she's a little pill(and we all love to hold her-when we can!)

They lost-but it was a good game. She played soooo good. A hit every time which is so much better than most of the girls and she's good in the field too. I like to say she's like I was-a little tomboy, but still a girly-girl!

I so enjoyed seeing the girls play. It brings back memories for me but I so enjoyed seeing my niece play ball-She did GREAT!

Cupcake Lotion

Isn't this the cutest! I know you've been seeing lots of cupcake items everywhere-seems like they will wear it out like they do everything else-sunflowers, roosters, stars, etc. But I couldn't pass this up since it was on clearance and has pink frosting and a pink bottom. Notice the BLUE sprinkles!
